BBQ at Great Grandma and Grandpas house

Tonight we had a belated birthday party for my mom. She had her 80th birthday while we were on our cruise. So tonight we had all of the grandkids together and the great-grandkids. It was good fun and it was nice to see my mom enjoy her family around her. She's had a rough past month so it's good to have her feeling better.
Sydnee and Savannah were cooperative and let me take their picture, but it wasn't until they had both eaten and Savannah has cheetos all over her little cheeks.
My nephew Jerame and his wife enjoy cheetos as well, seems they like to share their cheetos with each other -
Jocelyn and Karie had a good chat with my neice Kristin about her upcoming baby. Kristin is due with her first baby in November. My neice-in-law Christa is also expecting their first baby in April, and Danny and Chihiro are expecting their 4th! Brent and Bonalee are really adding to their family!

Back to School Shopping with Grandma Shel

Today was a special day for Sydnee and me. We went on our annual grandma school clothes shopping spree. We started early this morning. First we went to Costco - I know sounds weird but they really have some cute stuff for good prices. Then we went to TJMax, Ross, and the mall. We had lunch at the Olive Garden. Sydnee wanted "pizza" and that was the closest place I could think of that had pizza. She had a cheese pizza and breadsticks with raspberry lemonade. After lunch we shopped some more until we could find some shoes we liked. We finally ended up at Famous Footwear. We got her a pair of Nike tennis shoes and a pair of brown leather "Roxy" flats. They are really cute. They were having a sale so I got them buy one, get one 1/2 off and then I had a $5 coupon. We did pretty well. I couldn't resist a cute Dora outfit for Savannah, it was 6 bucks for a pair of levis, a tank and a cute little yellow jacket like with Dora on it. I also got a bunch of brand new clothes for Syd online today, they should arrive sometime next week.

Crab fest at Grandpa's house!

Our cute little Sydnee is always shopping for a sale on crab so that grandpa Wayne will go and buy her some crab! She can easily eat a whole pound all by herself. Tonight we invited Ty and Karie with Savannah as well. Wayne made sushi rolls with Ty and Karie and we all enjoyed dinner. Savannah loved the crab but was not too fond of the sushi rolls. I don't think Syd even tried them since she was so busy with her plate of crab! Savannah is licking butter off of the butter knife. They are both so cute! We just love 'em to death!!!!

Two Cuties!

Here is a darling picture of Syd and Savannah taken at Jocelyn's wedding reception. It's just not fair how fast these littles ones grow up. Sydnee is so full of expression. She has such a big heart. We love it when she sleeps over at our house. We have great chats at night. What a great big sister she is. Savannah is a nut! She is funny and crazy and a dare devil for sure. We had her at the house the other day and she slipped on my newly mopped floor. She quickly grabbed her head and looked at me with a pouty lip and said, "I bonked my head". She hardly cried but she was very careful the rest of the day!

Little Valley Days - Mantua!

Last night after Savannah's birthday party, we went back up to our house to see the fireworks. Bradon was walking to the park with us and we seen some deer and a little bunny playing near the edge of the road. We were walking past a pretty yard full of wild flowers and Bradon said "this is sort-of like a nature walk, deer, bunnies and wild-flowers". You know, that's probably one of things I love most about where we live is the beautiful surroundings.

Savannah's 2nd Birthday

Yesterday was such a fun day with our family and especially our sweet little Savannah on her second birthday. What a cutie!! She had lots of family and friends there to share the day. It was nice that she had both sets of Great-Grandparents there too! What a blessing it is to have family!
