In a Jam!

Last night Jocelyn and Brandon came down to make some jam... I invited Sydnee to come and help us and she was more than willing. Wayne had gone golfing with his dad so he was a little late for dinner. Joce and Brandon made it down about 6:00. After dinner Brandon was so kind to offer to drive to Brigham to pick up Sydnee. Of course with a little pit stop at Walmart for some containers, Sydnee talked Brandon in to buying her a 10 pack of lip gloss! What a sucker uncle Brandon!! When all was said and done we did a batch of blackberry, 6 or 7 batches of raspberry and 2 batches of peach. It is so nice to have access to all of this wonderful fresh fruit. My kids all love freezer jam. Syd took some raspberry home with her and she was happy.

We got some good and some bad news yesterday. Wayne was wrestling with our little nephew Braden on Sunday and Braden got hurt. He twisted his ankle so we hoped if he gave it some time it would feel better. Unfortunately his let still hurt this morning so his parents took him to the doctor. Braden actually has a hairline fracture in his ankle. (That was the bad news!) Good news is actually only fair news... Bradens fracture is old and they figures he hurt it originally about a month ago and Wayne's little wrestling stunt just re-injured it.

Busy week ahead as we get ready for Hawaii!! I'm so excited!!!

Sleep over at Grandma and Grandpa's

Last night we had Sydnee spend the night. Savannah was sick so she wasn't able to come. We started with dinner at Richardo's. Sydnee had already eaten so she ate chips and drank pop. After dinner we went home and I gave Sydnee the lastest clothing purchase I had mde for her. I am quite proud of what I was able to get for m $100. Sydnee had a personal fashion show for Wayne and I. After the fashion show, we did clean up and headed off to bed. Syd slept in her little sleeping bag on our floor. In the morning Syd was awaken by grandpa yelling at Hank for chewing up the extension cord. She spent an hour playing pool on our kids pool table. We picked apples, played with legos, made an apple pie, decorated a halloween trick or treat bag and went to the country store for some candy. Not too bad for all of this by 1:00!

After all of this we went to the celebration center with Jocelyn and Brandon, had a riot!!! I loved all the rides but the big swing make me sick! It was still fun. After the Celebration Center in Logan, we drove to Layton to dinner with all of the kids at Tempanyaki, It was super tasty!! We all loved it. Then we came back here to our house for home made ice cream and apple pie. I'm sure glad Jocelyn had a birthday and let us celebrate with her late.

Our Dog Hank!

No doubt about it, Hank can be a real pill. He has chewed up so many things I couldn't even begin to list them all. $19 off of my dresser to start, the mail off of the couch, my new wreath I had just bought the day before at Tai Pan, a bunch of Jocelyn's wedding announcements and he even got to the cats tail! But inspite of all that, he's really a cute puppy with just way to much energy for his own good. Here is Brandon helping to get rid of some of that energy productively with good clean fun! Hank loves to jump and so today I thought I'd see if we could get some of this captured on camera. He was very cooperative, and Jocelyn did a great job behind the camera.

BBQ at Great Grandma and Grandpas house

Tonight we had a belated birthday party for my mom. She had her 80th birthday while we were on our cruise. So tonight we had all of the grandkids together and the great-grandkids. It was good fun and it was nice to see my mom enjoy her family around her. She's had a rough past month so it's good to have her feeling better.
Sydnee and Savannah were cooperative and let me take their picture, but it wasn't until they had both eaten and Savannah has cheetos all over her little cheeks.

Jocelyn and Karie had a good chat with my neice Kristin about her upcoming baby. Kristin is due with her first baby in November. My neice-in-law Christa is also expecting their first baby in April, and Danny and Chihiro are expecting their 4th! Brent and Bonalee are really adding to their family!
